I totally agree about the communication thing. We have such a strong base and I've seen how much friends struggle with communicating in the traditional early stages of relationships. When I was going to university he basically came to visit every weekend, but saying goodbye was still tough. When covid hit I basically moved in with him, in fall 2020 we found an apartment to officially move in together and I am so glad to have him around ever since. The only thing I noticed is that maybe LDR has negatively impacted the saying goodbye part. Whenever I have to leave to visit my parents it feels like the end of the world even tough it's only for like 4 days that we wont see each other. And it's fine when I am gone, but beforehand it always feels terrible...

I have chronic pain due to ehler danlos syndrome. I know others have said it but you are such a breath of fresh air on high pain days. It’s inspiring to see you do all the things you do and roll with the punches. I’m 45 and just now getting some real help and validation. Pray you get alllll the good things this year!

People neeeeed to use Boric acid. If you’re prone to yeast infections, BV or uti’s (the one I’m prone to), vaginal dryness - literally anything feeling “off” down there… use it as maintenance like Taylor said, or just use it after sex or after your period or when you feel “off” or at any sign and it will stop anything from actually popping up. I love the Honeypot brand because it comes with an applicator. It comes with 14 in the box and it lasts me 6m-1year or longer! Now, if you have an infection; you should take it for a week or two. Or if you’re prone to them I’d take it 3 times a week until you’re very cleared up so at first you may be going thru them a lot faster… once you’ve got things regulated you’ll only need them occasionally, like after sex (I imagine this is exceptionally helpful for women who are not monogamous) or ur period (I don’t even use them after my period bc I don’t have any concerns, but ppl swear by it) so it’ll last forever.

My husband and I dated and got engaged completely long distance for 3 years and didn’t live in the same place until 3 months before our wedding. This year is our 15 year anniversary. I definitely agree with you about the communication aspect and a balance of enjoying your independence and knowing you can be alone but prefer to be with them. It’s not “I can’t live without this person” but more so “I don’t WANT to live without this person”.

My husband and I did long distance for three years while we dated. He lived in CA, I lived in WA. This was back in the late 80’s, when we relied on letters and phone calls, no Face Time, no email or text. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re both committed to it, it can work.

So great to hear that things are going well!! My sis is celebrating her 5th Wedding Anniversary today. She didn't meet her partner until her 30s. And she had some relationships in her 20s that we're all glad she walked away from 😅

Totally relate to everything you said re long distance. My husband and I did long distance (different countries) for years. You’re forced to communicate, to carve out time for each other and to make seeing one another a priority. If it’s right, it works ❤ so happy for you

not referred to you, but in general, just a consideration between me and myself: the real problem in the long distance relationships is not "the time you spend apart", but the time you are together: some weeks living in the same house, or even a few months together 24/24 let you not to see how the person really is. All the time you spend writing or dating or talking on the phone from a distance, let the mask stay in place, so to speak. We want always to be perceived in a better way than we are.. so always pay attention on how they / we react to something unexpected, something wrong Idk, with a waiter, some inconvenience, or when there is an argument between the two parts: that's when the mask slips down and you see if there's something concerning
